Sugarless September
A few months ago, my husband did "Dry July", where you don't have any alcohol for the month of July. So I decided that if he could do that, I could do something similar. I decided September would be a month of no sugar - so here it is = "Sugarless September".
So, no sugar means no
biscuits
chocolate
sugar in my tea
lollies
hot chocolate
ice cream
custard
Milo
You get the drift.
Despite the first Saturday (Sept 3rd) being a 1st birthday party, which looked like it was catered by Willy Wonka coz there were lollies EVERYWHERE! I managed to avoid temptation and odd stares by putting lollies on my plate anyway - for my son lol, then stashing them in the cold bag I had for the baby food. I've sealed them in bags and hid them in the pantry for October 1st! Anyway, despite the birthday party, the first week was easy! Day 8 though, I was craving something! Anything! But, I've persevered.
September 1st was a Thursday, when I go to Body Balance at the gym at 8:30. So, I stepped on the scales (at the gym) on the first day (pretty convienient really!). Pretty much the same weight I've been since Eden was about 7 weeks old.
September 8 (beginning of week 2), those scales say a LOSS of 1.2kg! OMG. Totally cheering!
I need to go and change the tickers now! :D

I didn't even realise that I wrote that last post! A little nervous about PT session.
Anyway.
My husband bought me the Wii Fit Plus! OMG, so excited. It says that I'm 500g lighter than I am at the gym!
I'm looking forward to using it everyday while the baby's alseep, and seeing progress and weightloss from home. I've set a goal to lose 3kg in 2 months. Perfectly do-able.
Now, to stop mindless eating at home...

Ok. I know, I keep changing deadlines and goals. But, as of the 1st of August, it's all systems GO. Make a bigger effort at the gym. This weight isn't budging. I had 2 weeks off a few weeks ago because my baby was sick (and contagious!) with no one to look after her. I know it's not an excuse, but it's legit.
The plan is to make a bigger effort at the gym. I got 3 free PT sessions when I joined, so I start them next wednesday.
I want to lose 10kg by Christmas... Do you think it's do-able? 5 months...

So.
I don't think those scales at the gym like me. They don't change. It just says : xo.00kg If anything, they go up, but only by 0.5kg. I do weigh myself in the evening on a Tuesday when I go, so perhaps I'll "weigh in" on a Thursday morning when I go. I always wear the same clothes, so on the upside I'm not gaining weight, but I'm not losing it either.
I did BodyPump class last night, followed straight away by a BodyCombat class at the gym. Needless to say, I'm exhausted and hurt muscles I didn't know I had, or still had. It's the 3rd week in a row I've been to that Pump class. First week I've stayed for both. Taught by my friend Rachel, so I can't really slack off. I'll stay again next week for both, but I hurt through the 2nd class.
Not only that, everyone else was in a "line", and I had my own "line" in the class. Which was bad. Very bad. It was in the middle of the room (so there were 2 rows in front and 2 rows behind), with mirrors either side. All I could see was fat jiggling everywhere regardless of which side I was facing. I could ignore it, but then realised that that was everyone else was seeing. Even doing the stretches, my belly was a flabby lump. Kinda depressing. I'm hoping the mirrors are those ones that are a little less true-to-life in a bad way - you know, you look worse in the mirror than you actually do...
It's really depressing I can't see anything happening. It's like it's a wasted trip to the gym.

AAAANNDDD we're back!
I'm back!
I have a new goal, probably slightly unattainable.
I had a gorgeous baby GIRL 8 weeks ago. I still have 6kg left to lose to be back to pre-pregnancy weight. Doesn't seem like such a hard ask, does it?
Well. My brother-in-law's wedding is about 6 weeks away. Are you starting to see where this is going?
I'd like to lose the 6kg by then, so I can look good, and fit into my old clothes again.
THEN I'd like to lose another 5-10kg on top of that, but I'm happy to go a little slower in reaching that goal.
I've decided no Weight Watchers this time. THIS time, I joined a gym!
I've had 1 PT session and have been to 2 classes. I gained 1kg. Not a good start.
Have been slack this week, as my son is sick, and I'm not dragging a sick kid to gym crèche.
Should be back into it this week!
