Time for a reboot!It's been far too long. Iv been far too slack and have gained far, far too much weight. At my best, I managed to get to 69kg, my goal (though a "healthy" BMI wants me between 55kg and 65kg. I know I am never ever going to be 55kg. 65kg would be awesome, but I will again be happy with 69kg. <div><br></div><div>So, the personal trainer, Ben, from way back when, suggested a group challenge- including food plan, I guess I'd better get my flabby butt into gear.</div><div><br></div><div>So here it is. As I stand here (well, sit warming up on a gym bike), I weigh 83.4kg (by the gym scales- 84.3kg by the home scales. A whopping g 900g difference!)</div><div><br></div><div>I know it's not all about weight loss. It's about being fit and healthy. At spend point I realise my weight may no longer change but my measurement will.</div><div><br></div><div>This challenge is an 8wk fitness challenge.</div><div>This is the first week.</div><div>I'm yet to properly read my email all about it, but it's 5 gym sessions a week, with an eating plan.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm warmed up now- now to decide on my workout for today.</div>sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-26723221682433004902013-11-28T22:07:00.002+10:002013-11-28T22:07:19.342+10:00The countdown to christmas ab workout<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Currently up to day 4 (rest day). I forgot to do day 2 and 3 and tried to make up for it while putting Mr 6 to bed and couldn't remember where was up to, or what I had to do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I did:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
50 situps</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
50 leg raises</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
60 second plank </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ok, now I've looked at what I did have to do, it's overkill, but better over than under! Enjoy!</div>

In a way, this is good. I eat one proper meal a day. I'm still bad for snacking. I do, however, seem to be losing weight with it. It's fantastic. Just this week gone, I lost 1.1kg ! Excited!<br />
<br />
This means I have reached my mini goal! The ultimate goal is now 8.5kg away! If I lost 1kg every week, I can be there in just over 2 months!! Lets not get too ahead of ourselves, but it's an exciting thought!sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-60652490229112448352013-06-07T11:42:00.000+10:002013-06-07T11:42:17.103+10:00Catch upman, this blog is not updated very well.<br />
<br />
I'm only up to c25k Week 5 Day 2 (the next one). I just stopped. I'm nervous about getting out there again after the fall. It's COLD. It gets dark really quickly. It's been raining heaps. Oh my, that's a lot of excuses, but they win. I can't get out there with the kids. Andrew gets home late-ish, but mainly it's the cold. I'm aware I wont be cold for long, but I just can't bring myself to get out there.<br />
<br />
Today I went to my personal trainer. I managed to break my times 3 times! He was saying "Come on, you're so close!" making it sound like I was mere seconds away. Turns out I beat it by 10 seconds! Totally stoked. I think he was a little, too.<br />
<br />
I got home and got on the wii scales. Now, I did put on some weight recently. However, my jeans have been fitting a bit better, so I was nervous that I was just imagining that. However, I lost weight (in this last 2 weeks).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hooray, 2kg loss!! Now back down to 74.8 </div>

I had Andrew's company for my warm up, then he ditched me. About 1km from home, I stumbled in the dark, thought I saved myself from falling, fell anyway. Pushed myself the rest of the way home with a twisted knee and ankle and sore hip (and scraped elbow!) Hard, but complete, done with a runny nose (which made breathing like inhaling sea water), eat plugs giving me an earache and it started to rain halfway through making the footpath slippery. I have been home 5 min and I feel like my face is on fire, sweat is burning my eyes and I finally feel like I can stand up to go and have a shower....sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-29853339468932351162013-03-31T23:01:00.001+10:002013-03-31T23:01:24.863+10:00It beginsIt all starts tomorrow. I need to move this weight. I need to catch up on my c25k. I have been suffering from headaches this last week and a bit, and then just lazy. Today and yesterday I can barely walk from my PT session... <br />
<br />
I dare say I have gained weight, so it's time to lose it, and more.<br />
<br />
My goal is to be able to wear shorts by my next birthday, because right now these thighs are scary! There's a lot of work to be done!!sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-38739687367584483052013-03-21T21:16:00.001+10:002013-03-21T21:16:15.033+10:00c25k<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
Today is day 2 of week 2 C25k (couch to 5km).</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
I think I'm getting better at this running thing. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
Would be a whole lot easier if there weren't so many hills around!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
Our street has a massive incline hill, and I thought I'd be at the warm down by the time I got to it, but no, I had one last run.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
It almost killed me. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
I wanted to give up.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
I didn't.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
The running seemed to conveniently end when I reached the top.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
Which is good, coz I nearly died. Or at least nearly vomited. OMG. That was freaking crazy.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
I'll run down that hill next time!</div>

<br />
Currently, as of last week, I am (and I'm officially putting this out there - I've never wanted to do it but when I read back on the posts, I can't remember what weight I was....)<br />
<br />
74.2kg.<br />
<br />
The aim this year, culminating before my 31st birthday, I would love to lose 10.2kg.<br />
<br />
But not just weight. I need to lose my legs and my belly (and body, if you're listening, nothing more from my bust, it's got barely anything left to give!). My legs are large and I still look pregnant - even though the baby turns two in 6 days!<br />
<br />
The goal is to wear some short shorts (some Daisy Duke's !) and look good in it!sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-35641422745004725832012-09-14T07:40:00.001+10:002012-09-14T07:40:07.524+10:00Bahahaha! <br />
"mummy, will daddy live long?" <br />
"pardon?" <br />
"will daddy live long enough to see me to 10?" <br />
"yes, Jensen" <br />
"because he might die soon, because he's so tall"sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-90955882765189166992012-08-28T21:39:00.003+10:002012-08-28T21:39:49.698+10:00Paleo take 2I tried another Paleo challenge after the one in February was so successful! I lost 5.4kg in Feb!<br />
<br />
I thought, sweet, I can lose some more weight, and be able to maintain - or perhaps lose some more! - before our friends wedding in November.<br />
<br />
The first weigh ins:<br />
<br />
-1.1kg<br />
+1.2kg<br />
-1.1kg<br />
+1.1kg<br />
<br />
I'm totally over this. There's 6 days remaining. I'm over it. I can see I'm good at maintaining now... I just wanted to lose 3kg, maybe 5kg, by November and I can't even seem to lose 1kg and keep it gone! We ended up having pizza (which is NOT on the paleo challenge!) as I'm exhausted from Uni prac. I've followed the plan well so far but can not budge this weight. At prac yesterday, I used their scales and they told me I'd put on another 1.2kg.<br />
<br />
OVER IT. I'm going to ride it out the 6 more days, then back to less strict eating.sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-69851459136944321002012-05-08T18:57:00.001+10:002012-05-08T18:57:56.862+10:00Impromptu crossfitImpromptu crossfit workout tonight. I went for a PT session, but the trainer forgot (e thought I had only switched for 2 weeks, not 3. So I should be going for a PT session Thursday as well. Seeing as I was already there, I could do a crossfit workout with another girl and guy. Why not?!<br />
<br />
400m run<br />
10 push ups<br />
10 sit ups<br />
10 squats <br />
That was just the warm up!<br />
Then<br />
100 single skips<br />
100 mountain climbers<br />
75 single skips<br />
75 mountain climbers<br />
50 single skips<br />
50 mountain climber<br />
<br />
Time for the actual workout!<br />
1.2k run<br />
50 push presses (20kg bar at your shoulders, squat and as you come up press into the air)<br />
40 pull ups (i can't do these yet, so I used an elastic to help me)<br />
30 thrusters (20kg bar at your shoulders, push into the air)<br />
20 hollow rocks (like crunches, but rocking)<br />
10 burpees<br />
The actual work out took me 22:32.sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-91194517518778531822012-01-25T22:33:00.000+10:002012-01-25T22:33:25.849+10:0025 January 2012<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

It's been raining for what seems like forever and I'm tired of taking the kids to the car in the rain, putting them in, taking them out to go wherever we needed to go, putting them back in again and at home taking them out.... all in the rain.<div><br />
</div><div>I had called my mother-in-law to babysit, only to get a text message 10 mins later from my PT saying that he was flooded in and couldn't make it to work. I cancelled the mother-in-law and just stayed at home.</div><div><br />
</div><div>In the afternoon, my husband got a message from the PT asking if he could make 6:30pm instead of his normal time. He suggested that I join him. So I still got my work out in today.</div><div><br />
</div><div>We drove, instead of walking, due to the weather (it wasn't raining when we left, but, with both kids, if it did rain, it would be a lot of rain).</div><div><br />
</div><div>Warm up: Rowing machine. I made 4.10m before he told us to stop and described the rest of the workout. </div><div><br />
</div><div>The rest of the work out was to be like a competition. I was so not looking forward to this, I'm quite happy for my sessions to be in the morning. I was just not up to it.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Do it all - fast as you can:</div><div>500m row</div><div>100 single skips</div><div>50 squats</div><div>40 sit ups</div><div>30 kettlebell swings</div><div>20 pushups with hands off the ground (start the push up, chest on the floor, hands off the floor, complete the pushup)</div><div>10 burpees.</div><div><br />
</div><div>It only took about 12 mins to complete this. I was behind - until the sit ups, where I took over. I was leading until the pushups. I had to lower down from my toes. I've never done pushups from my toes before! I don't see why he felt tonight was the night to begin that, especially in a 'competition'. Anyway. I did them that way and fell way behind. I think I finished a minute behind. Not too bad I think!</div><div><br />
</div><div>Then, Lunge jumps, as many as Andrew could do. I had to try and keep his pace. I couldn't as I kept falling over! I also felt that if I jumped, that the lunge wouldn't be complete and would only be a scissor jump. Andrew did 56.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Then, Squat jumps. Andrew had to keep up with me! We tied for that one.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Finishing up, bicep curls. As many as we could do. I have no idea how many we did, but our 4 year old had grabbed two 2kg dumbbells and was copying what we were doing. Wasn't doing too bad for a 4 year old!</div><div><br />
</div><div>Lastly! Push presses. Dumbbells from shoulders up and back to the shoulders. Originally, we had to do 40. Then he changed it to 30. I managed my 30, slowly, as my wrist was playing up. Andrew did the original 40!</div><div><br />
</div><div>It was a fun "competition", but next time, we do my work out, as apparently this was Andrew's workout!</div>sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-89444866400083574782012-01-23T23:20:00.000+10:002012-01-23T23:20:50.744+10:0020 January Workout<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pNTh-PHLRVs/Tx1brxrWADI/AAAAAAAAA4Q/QdnHMQznLyA/s1600/IMG_8991.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pNTh-PHLRVs/Tx1brxrWADI/AAAAAAAAA4Q/QdnHMQznLyA/s320/IMG_8991.JPG" width="239" /></a></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<div>I'll add another updated one tomorrow!<br />
<br />
</div>sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-3143995105719346492012-01-23T22:21:00.000+10:002012-01-23T22:21:54.829+10:00I keep standing on those scales, and I keep seeing the numbers go down, but never big enough. It feels like I've been stuck on this kilo for ages! According to Grandma's scales, 2.2kg to go until pre-pregnancy weight! Another 10 on top of that would be awesome.<br />
<br />
I think I might have to update those tickers!<br />
<br />
We have just agreed to join the Paleo Challenge at our gym (I'm going to call it a gym, but it's the Personal Trainer. It's just easier to call it the gym).<br />
<br />
I'm loving the group work outs at the gym! Some of them are hard! Actually, the ones I seem to actually turn up to are the hard ones! It's like he sees me turn up and hey, you know what ? she's here tonight, let's make her work it! :D I'm sure he doesn't, but that's what it feels like!sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-1149148763622419022011-12-31T07:22:00.000+10:002011-12-31T07:22:12.733+10:00Christmas exersiseIt's hard to go to your gym classes over christmas when the gym is actually not open, or your class is not on.<br />
<br />
So my husband and I decided to ask his mother to watch the kids while he and I went to the PT's group training session. It started at 7 and was :<br />
<br />
18 deadlifts (60kg for men / 40kg for women)<br />
15 box jumps (literally jump onto a box)<br />
12 toes to bar (hang onto a bar and bring your toes up to the bar)<br />
9 burpees (start with chest on the floor, push up, jump to your feet, stand up straight and put your hands in the air)<br />
6 get ups (get up off the floor without using your hands)<br />
800 m run<br />
<br />
As many rounds in 25 minutes as possible.<br />
<br />
I managed more than Andrew! I don't know how, but I did!<br />
I got through 2 rounds, plus box jumps, the 800m run and 6 deadlifts. :D I reckon given 30 minutes, I would have been able to finish it! A little disappointed I didn't do better, but I had a personal issue that I was trying to deal with at the same time. That's one muscle that the PT can't help me strengthen....sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-21929913746928428762011-12-27T08:05:00.000+10:002011-12-27T08:05:39.755+10:00If you read this post "<a href="http://sconeonadiet.blogspot.com/2011/11/new-pt.html">New PT</a>", here is an update.<br />
<br />
I've had 4 sessions with PT. I'm not as wrecked as I thought I would be. I'm actually a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong though, I'm sure he works me hard. 3 out of 4 sessions, I have left for our walk home (I bring the kids) with the urge of being about to throw up threatening. Thankfully, I've never painted someone's garden a lovely shade of spew. The other 1 of 4 session, I've left with an instant migraine (I never had it all through the 30 min workout, walked out the door and BAM). I think that was the worst.<br />
<br />
From the first workout I was asked when I would be coming to group training. A workout with others. They have a certain amount of activities, a set amount of reps and weights. I've done one of those. I didn't completely finish two of the set actvities, but completed all the others in about 75 mins. Longest 75 mins of my life. Felt great after though!<br />
<br />
The gym is closed over a few days at christmas/new year and my normal classes aren't available. However, there's a group session on today.... Knowing what it involves, do I go?sconehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13169005154684481515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992955645138323815.post-21740588700866363152011-12-26T08:41:00.001+10:002011-12-27T07:44:11.072+10:00Guest Posted!I totally forgot I guest posted over at <a href="http://www.diminishinglucy.com/">Diminishing Lucy</a>!<br />
